Canon launches 12 new cameras in India, 5 with Wifi capabilities


Canon India today launched 12 new cameras, five of which are WiFi-enabled, in New Delhi. The devices launched today includes the 4K camera, Canon’s EOS 1DC, which is a camera ideal for films and movie shooting.
As part of its IXUS series it launched, the WiFi-enabled IXUS 135, IXUS 255HS, IXUS 140 today. It also launched the IXUS 132 which is not Wi-Fi enabled.
In the PowerShot series, Canon launched, the WiFi-enabled PowerShot 3500IS and PowerShot N today. It also launched the PowerShot A2600 and PowerShot A2500 camera.
In the EOS series, Canon launched EOS 100D, EOS 700D, EOS C100 and EOS-1DC device.
Canon also announced launch of its exclusive online photography resource and web service for Canon users called ‘Canon Image Gateway’ where members can connect, upload, store and share their photos and videos with friends, family and anyone else they choose.
Speaking at the launch, Mr Kazutada Kobayashi, President and CEO, Canon India stated, “India is a prime market for Canon and it is imperative for us to keep introducing high-end technology to stay ahead in such a competitive market. Success of futuristic technology only adds onto the confidence to experiment and helps a brand to provide its customers with a promising and unusual experience.”
Anushka Sharma, Canon’s brand ambassador,was also present at the launch.
